Linde Gas Singapore (LGS) has been honoured with the Outstanding Cluster Award at the prestigious National Safety and Security Watch Group (SSWG) Award for its continued commitment to security and safety in 2012.
On behalf of LGS, Seck Luan Lim, Country Head of Singapore received the award from Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs on 23 November 2012 at a ceremony held at Orchard Hotel. “This achievement is a result of our continuous effort to manage security and safety risks and reach goal zero – no fatalities, injuries or security breach. We will continue to work closely with the authorities and local community to ensure a safe business environment,” Seck Luan said.
Under the SSWG Scheme, clusters comprising buildings located close together are formed and LGS is a member of the Jurong Island - Merlimau cluster. The award organised by Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) aims to recognise efforts by the business community in adopting robust measures to manage the threat of crime and terrorism. This year, a total of 16 SSGW members received the prestigious award at the national level event.
